Brandy is one of the most common gifts in Armenia: for anniversaries, for the boss, for partners, for the groom's parents. Here is what to think about when you choose.
Look at the age
The longer a brandy spends in an oak barrel, the softer and more complex it becomes. A young brandy suits a big dinner or cocktails. For a gift, choose an aged one — ten years or more.
Twenty years in oak brings a deep amber colour and notes of dried fruit, vanilla and chocolate. Thirty years is a brandy for a special occasion, to be drunk slowly in small sips.
Think about the occasion
- An anniversary, a milestone, a thank-you — the oldest bottle, in a case.
- For the table, when visiting — a 700 ml bottle to open together.
- For colleagues, wedding guests, welcome boxes — 50 ml miniatures. A gesture without obligation.
Packaging matters
A bottle in a box or case needs no wrapping, travels well and is a pleasure to open. If the gift comes from a company, add a card with a few words of your own. It doesn't need to be long.
A gift that stays
